Last April, my husband received a promotion. It put him in a new trade, with new responsibilities and new demands. It also required him to move to La Union. On the day that he received the news, he sat me down and we discussed our options.
Prior to the promotion, he was stationed in Pampanga. I saw him only on the weekends. He'd report to the office on Mondays, then would make the commute to Pampanga on Tuesdays. He'd come home Friday night. I used to call him my 'weekend lover'. I spent my days at work. I was a teacher. I loved my job and I loved my students even more.
Honestly, I didn't take the news lightly. I cried for days. Everything that I loved and treasured were in Manila. But no matter how much I cried, or how sad I got, it did not break my resolve. I was going with Gio. I wanted us to be 'normal'. I wanted to spend time with him, cook meals, do chores. I wanted to be a wife.
So, we made arrangements and started the move. I decided not to look for work and just chronicle our adventure that will be La Union and all of Region 1.
I wanted to put up this blog up because I wanted to show people how beautiful our country is. I hope to inspire you to see more of the world... see more of the Philippines!
Remember: Not all who wander are lost.
